Melanie Adelman is an admitted liar. Her first acting job came at age 13 after she fudged her age to get into auditions for a production of A Chorus Line and was cast. During that experience she decided that when she grew up she would be an actor. The jury is still out on whether or not Melanie has grown up, but she is, in fact, an actor.

She has since expanded her workload to include projects as a writer, lyricist and producer. However, she is most proud of her incredibly brief appearance in the Cher video "Song for the Lonely" where she was instructed by the director (while walking down the street, lip-syncing) to "feel the power of Cher." And she did.

Most recently, Melanie has been recognized as one half of the award-winning, musical comedy duo "Mel & El". Mel & El opened to rave reviews Off-Broadway and will be taking over the world in due time.

Melanie is a graduate of Ithaca College and a member of Actors Equity Association and the Dramatist's Guild.
